On July 10 & 11, we then traveled to Murfreesboro, TN to Uncle Dave Macon Days.  The girls did excellent in the Old Time Singing, although they didn't place, they did great! Hey all!!

Just wanted to write a note and say HI!! We want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays!  We have been so busy that I've not written in a while.  We played every weekend in October (actually far enough away from home that we stayed in a hotel EVERY weekend!!) Fun, but tiring! lol We have recorded a new song, "Where Corn Don't Grow", check it out on our myspace.  Let us know what you think, we'd like your input.  Also, any suggestions for our new CD!  If you have a song that you think you would like to hear "The Huntley Sisters" sing or play, let us know.  We'd like to know what our "fans" want to hear!  We won't be playing much in December or January, we're gonna take that as a vacation.  We will be playing a few Christmas events in December, so come out and join us for some great Christmas shows.

Kati will soon be turning 11 and is so excited about her birthday.  Lexi is coming right along on her banjo and can play "Cripple Creek" now.  We hope to have her playing a little at each show next year.

We are booking for 2009 and have several events already booked.  Please contact us for any event you might have.  We looked forward to seeing all of you next year and can't wait for all of the bluegrass festivals and shows!!!

Please remember..."Jesus is the Reason for the Season".  May God Bless You all!  We Love You and want to Thank You all for a Great 2008!!!!

Hey Everybody!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we had a few more winnings this past weekend at Williamson County Fair Bluegrass.  I won 3rd place in the Junior Fiddle (15-39) and yes, I'm only 13!!! Then Kati and I entered the Old Time Singing/Vocal Competition and we sang "Blues Stay Away From Me", the Delmore Bros Song, there were about 15 contestants of all ages and we took 2nd place! We were so pleased, the crowd seemed to really like us and the stage MC, Larry Chunn, even told Mom and Dad that they better be buying a BUS!!!! lol  We thought that was really funny!  Although we'd LOVE that!

Keep looking on our calendar for the places we will be at, it seems like it changes and gets updated from day to day!  Better go for now.

See ya down the road pickin'.

Hey Everybody!

We have been so busy that we've been unable to keep up with our website, so here it goes.  We had a great time this weekend at DeKalb Co. Fair this weekend and also at Anderson Fish Creel on Thursday Night from 5:30-8:00 pm.  They have great food and the music's not too bad either, lol.  We'd love to see you there!!!  We are tossing around the idea of a new CD and would like some input from our fans.  What songs would you like to see us put on a new CD?  Please email us and let us know your favorites.

Hey Everybody!

The Huntley Sisters are so proud of our banjo player. After competing at Uncle Dave Macon Days in Murfreesboro, TN last weekend, 7/13/08, he placed 1st out of 16 contestants.
Check out his myspace at

We are also pleased to announce that Tori & Kati won 2nd place out of 16 in Old Time Singing. They sang the Delmore Bros. song "Blues Stay Away from Me".

The Huntley Sisters with Weston Stewart had the great opportunity to play at the 1st Annual Delmore Days in Athens, Al this weekend. We had a great time and met lots of new people and some old friends, too. We also had a great time listening to lots of great Bluegrass music, especially Bradley Walker!!!! He's one of our all time favorites..

Be on the lookout for us in the near future!! We'll (Tori, Kati, & Lexi) be at the MACC Festival in Columbus, OH this weekend and Weston will be at Bluegrass Along the Harpeth in Franklin, TN.

Also, keep in mind that we will be playing from 5 till 8 pm at the Anderson Fish Creel in Anderson, AL on July 31.  Come on out and join us for a lot of great bluegrass music!!

Hey Everybody!

Hope all is well with everyone.  We have been pickin' as usual  We went and played on Tuesday night in Lexington, AL at the Gazebo in the Mini park.  We had a great time.  We picked with our friends Sarah Lirette and Jessica Jackson.  There were a lot of other pickers there too and if Jeremy hadn't been so late, we could've picked with him too!!!!  We went and played for the Sonnenschein Festival in Hohenwald and boy do they treat a group fine!!!We played for 55 minutes to a great crowd, then they shuttled us down to "The Emporium" sandwich shop and fed us lunch!!!  They were all so nice and supportive.  We had a great time, sold several CDs and met some new friends and caught up with some old friends!

By the way, if you are a member of IBMA or have attended the convention, if you received your World of Bluegrass registration book, check out the photo on the "Special Promotional Opportunities" page (close to the back of the book).  It's a photo of Kati & me being interviewed last year at IBMA  by a Radio Station in Louisiana!  What a thrill to be included in this publication.  Several people have already recognized us and called!!  We have several events coming up.  If you like jamming and want to listen, come out listen in Lexington.  We are going to try to go this Tuesday, too.  We probably won't be able to make it each week, but will try to attend as we can.  Be sure and check out the following note we received after our Hohenwald show:

Dear Huntleys:
I was in Hohenwald this morning and greatly enjoyed your performance.  When
y’all are thinking about college I hope you consider us at MTSU.  We have a
wonderful faculty, particularly in violin and guitar.
All best wishes,
Mike Linton
Prof. of Music

We are always thrilled to hear from you all!  We love you guys!  Keep on Pickin' and we'll see ya around!!!

Hi!

It's been a while, but I'm going to try and catch you up with what we've been doing.  The end of April we went to the National Cornbread Festival and we had a blast.  As always we got to see Rhonda Vincent and The Rage and we so love to see them!  We then got to go to The Main Stage on April 29 for a lesson with Cheryl Chunn, Deanie Richardson, & Dale Ann Bradley!  We soooooo loved that!!! We are having a blast taking these lessons, even though they are very far apart, we love it!!! We then moved on into May and I have to say busy is not the word for it!  On May 4 we had a Homecoming Singing at Rose Hill Baptist Church.  We then got all packed up and ready to go to Branson, Missouri to Silver Dollar City--we were gone until May 16.  We were suppose to play 12 shows, but due to bad weather 3 got cancelled!!!  We were disappointed, but we played our others and had a great response, Mr. D.A. Callaway seemed to be pleased with our shows and we really appreciate the opportunity that he has given us (two years in a row!)  While we were at SDC, Kati got called up on stage at the Opera House (it was packed!!) by Rhonda Vincent!! She then proceeded to clog to "Sally Goodin" of course, the crowd went wild!!  Afterward, Kati started running off stage, and Rhonda called her back up.  She then asked Kati to tell who she was and the name of her band, what instrument she played and where we would be playing and what time.  What better endorsement can you have than Rhonda Vincent telling everybody to come out and see "The Huntley Sisters!!"  The next morning there was standing room only at our first show "Thanks, Rhonda!"  On May 17, we played for Fuller's Chapel Homecoming (an hour and a half) that's a long time to play.  We then got packed up again and left for some rest, we thought.  We left for Joe Wheel Campground on May 21 and retuned home on May 26--we picked to huge crowd from Thursday night until we left on Monday morning!!! (No rest for the pickers) WE LOVED IT!! We also enjoyed Scooter Muse and Jeremy Thompson coming down and picking with us.  We have tried to take it easy this week, we went to Ardmore, TN to Fried Tomato Buffet last night and played from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.  We always enjoy playing with Roger, Richard, John, Will, Sam, and especially our friends, Jackie Case and Jayce Crook.  Jackie and Jayce are moving and last night was their last nights at the restaurant.  We will miss them dearly.  We will see them around at the festivals still, but they won't be at the pickin any more on Tuesday nights.

June is starting to gear up and we will be at the Sonneschein Festival in Hohenwald, TN on June 7 at 11 am.  They have moved it and it will be about 2 blocks south of the Courthouse at a bandstand/gazebo on Maple Street, across from The Strand Theatre.  Come on our and see us.  Then be sure and don't miss out on our favorite festival, Summertown Bluegrass Reunion is the 3rd week of June, Thursday night is free night with open mike night and then with stage shows lined up on Friday night and all day Saturday.  They also have the clogging competition and Shade Tree Band Competition on Saturday.  We will be camping and will be there from Wednesday until Sunday--come out and pick with us--we always have a blast at Summertown.

We'll I should go and try to get something done, I just don't know what, yet.

See ya out pickin',

Your Friend and Fiddler,

Tori (the oldest Huntley sister)

Howdy!!!!

We are getting really busy and have been on the road quite a bit.  I'll try to remember all of the places that we've been and what all we've been doing to tell ya'll.  We played at the BBQ Caboose Cafe for WLIJ Radio check out www.totcrs.com for more information on them, this was their 10th Anniversary show.  We left from Lynchburg, TN and drove to Florence, AL for the Regency Square Mall Bluegrass in the Halls and we played a show there.  This was all on February 23!! In March, we started out with a Church Singing with "The Calton's", they are our cousins (Dad's actually) on March 2, then I got a special treat and got to go with our church youth group to Winterfest to Pigeon Forge, TN for 4 days!!! What a blast I had.  We then played for Faith Church on February 21 for their Senior Saints.  We had a great time and Lexi performed with us.  She sang a couple of songs and even took her banjo and played her rolls for the crowd!  Mom says that she stole the show!!  Everyone loved her!  On February 29, we then played a Benefit for playground equipment at the Petersville/Underwood Community Center.  We were there with Crosswalk and Side by Side Bluegrass.  We had a great time and left from there to return to Joe Wheeler Campground to pick for a couple more hours with some friends of ours. ((We LOVE that))  We've been really busy in April!  We went on April 3rd to the Greenbrier Restaurant in Decatur, AL to play for a man who was retiring from Redstone Arsenal.  He had worked there for 34 years and was a real Rocket Scientist!!! In fact, almost the whole room was filled with Rocket Scientist!!!  On April 5, we played for the HeeHaw show in Lawrenceburg at the Old Crockett Theatre.  We had a great time, I wish more people would show up for some of these local events.  On April 8, we got a very special surprise!  Mom took me and Kati to Springfield to "The Main Stage" to have some very special lessons.  Kati took a clogging lesson from Cheryl Chunn.  I had a fiddle lesson with Deanie Richardson! We both had a vocal lesson from Dale Ann Bradley (Mom, too).  We had a blast and are begging her to let us go back again soon!!!!  It's a really long drive, but worth it to us!!!!  On April 12, we had a benefit for Bro. Gary Simpson who has had a brain aneurysm.  We raised a lot of money and had a great time.  Mom and I even played with one of our good friends, Bro. Clyde Barnes.  Mom is going to add some photos of us playing with him, so check out the photos section of our website for those.  Now, to what happened yesterday, April 19.  First, we played for DooDah Days in Lawrenceburg, and had a good crowd.  We left there and drove to  Holladay, TN to the 52nd Annual Old Time Bluegrass & Fiddlers' Jamboree. This contest is considered the West Tennessee Championship.  I was in the 18 and under age division in the fiddle.  There were 11 of us and I wasn't sure how I'd come out.  When they called out the places this is what the results were:  3rd place, my friend Tyler White, 2nd place, Greer Kimbell, and 1st place ME, Tori Huntley!!!! I won some money and a plaque!  I was really surprised.  It was a long day, but fun.  Kati and I entered several events, but they didn't have them broken down too well, they were either 18 and under or all ages in one category.  We still had fun trying and we were the youngest in several categories.  I also met Mr. Clay Campbell who owns the Kentucky Opry.  I really enjoyed talking with him and we are going to try to go and play there.  I'm really looking forward to that.  Mr. Campbell's son plays for the Josh Williams Band. Today, April 20, we played a Homecoming at Unionville First Baptist Church.  It was quite a drive, but we got a blessing and had a good time.  We enjoyed meeting the people that we met and talking with them.

This weekend we will be at the National Cornbread Festival in So. Pittsburg, TN, come out and join us for some good bluegrass and cornbread.  Rhonda Vincent will be there on Sunday and we always LOVE her show.

We'll I should end for now and get back to pickin'.  See ya around soon,

Tori's Diary,

Hello again!  I am so glad to be able to report that we have had a great weekend again!!!  We spent last week a pickin' and a grinnin'.  We started out last Sunday evening at Jones Chapel Freewill Baptist in Florence, AL for their Homecoming.  On Monday night, we played at Riverbend Restaurant in Rogersville, AL.  Tuesday night we headed to Ardmore, TN to Fried Green Buffet for lots of pickin.  Wednesday we began our camping trip to Summertown Bluegrass Reunion in Summertown, TN.  On Wednesday night, our Nanny stayed with us, then on Thursday we had some special guests stay with us.  Our friends, Sydney, Hannah, & Emmie came and picked and stayed all night with us.  There were 6 girls and then of course, Mom.  We had a blast.  On Thursday night, we all picked on stage and then on Friday we had a great time pickin.  The girls went home that afternoon and then came back on Saturday.  We didn't get to spend a lot of time with them, because we started off the Summertown Bluegrass Reunion Show at 12 Noon!!!!  We had a blast!  Then at 5pm we were in the Buckdancing Competition.  I came in 3rd in my division and Kati came in 1st in hers!!!  The best thing of all was..........we were in the Shade Tree Band Competition, there were 11 bands in all, we came in 1st!!!!!!!!  We picked until about 1:30am on Sunday morning.  Several pickers came and sat out and picked with us and Weston.  His banjo teacher, Scooter, Amanda, Adam Clark, and several others.  We drew quite a crowd.  We had to get up early the next morning and leave because our booking agent, "MOM" booked a singing for a Decoration for Sunday at 1:30pm in Collinwood at McGlamery Church/Cemetery.  We sang outside for the Decoration, then headed home and all of us CRASHED!!!!!  We have a busy week scheduled and weekend this week too.  Check out our schedule and come by and say hello.  Also, thanks for helping us meet our 5,000 mark.  We are so excited that so many are coming by and checking out our site.  Please keep on looking for all of the exciting things that are happening!!!!! Make our site hit 10,000!!!!!!

Love,

Tori's Diary,

Hey all, sorry it's taken me so long to write about last weekend, but I'll tell about it and this weekend too!! Well, last weekend was Williamson County Fair where they had the normal categories as a normal bluegrass festival except for the 14 and under beginner instrumental which is with all kinds of instruments. I wanted to press my luck and get into the 15 and up categories and do them all. Well, the first competition was the mandolin 15 and up and all of the awesome people that are normally in it were in it so you can picture me a little afraid. So, I got up there and did my normal songs (Lonesome Moonlight Waltz and Ole' Dangerfield) well, I got up did all I could do which is do my best! Well, there were about nine or ten in the mandolin competition and after a long, grueling wait they finally called out that there was a tie between me and Rob Pearcy and if you don't know Rob HE IS AWESOME! I was so surprised when they called me out as beating him! Finally the fiddle competition rolled around (ages 15-39) and I had to run about half way across the fairground because I was FIRST to play! I played Dusty Miller and Festival Waltz and there were about seven more in it so, they called me as making it to the finals and I was so excited. Well, the finals came sneaking up on us! Well, it turns out that they were running a little over time so they only had us play one song so I played Johnny the Blacksmith and I was the last one to play. They finally got us all back up on stage and then they called me out as the WINNER! Well I guess we should move on to what happened a few days ago.  I was sick last Tuesday, so not much pickin this week.  We left and went camping on Thursday, and we had been asked to play for the Crockett Park Campers at Campground #2, so we played our set and then played again on Saturday night.  On Saturday, we found out that our music teacher, Andy, his sister passed away.  We send out our deepest sympathy to him and his family.  We came home on Sunday and went to the funeral home and are now just trying to recover from being sick.  We have a 3 night Kids Krusade to play and sick at this week, starting on Wednesday night in Prattville, AL.  When we come home from there, check us out on Saturday at Lexington Church of God and then on Sunday at Jones Chapel Freewill Baptist in Florence, AL.  See ya out pickin' soon.

Tori's Diary,

Greetings from Tennessee!  It good to be back home!  We have been gone so much lately, if I didn't have an accent, I wouldn't know where I was from! ha ha.  We had a great trip to Columbus, OH to the MACC festival.  Kati and I played with the Children's Band and then we got to play 2 special numbers with about 10 other kids for later on that night, we didn't know they had a surprise up their sleeve for us, while we were playing, Aubrey Haynie, Carl Jackson, Randy Kohrs, and Chris (who plays with Bradley Walker) came up on stage and picked with us.  Aubrey Haynie stood right beside me!!!! Randy & Chris stood on each side of Kati!!!  We had a blast.  We were also invited to participate in the IBMA Children's program.  This is an invitation only event!!  It will be in Nashville the 1st week of October, 2007, we are so excited about this invitation.  We left from Ohio on our way to Peotone, IL.  Our Aunt Linda and Uncle Evan live there.  They had us booked for the Peotone United Methodist Church.  Our Uncle Kenny came and stayed with us while we were there.  We picked and played all week long and then had a great singing raising close to $500 for the charity "Nothing But Nets".  We really enjoyed our time there and sold several of our CDs.  We would love to go back and visit and play some more sometime.  We came home on Friday and on Saturday morning, we were off to the DeKalb Co. Fiddlers Convention in Fort Payne, AL (Home to the group "Alabama")  Kati came away with 1st place in 10 and under fiddle, and Buckdancing.  I placed 3rd in the 11-21 fiddle, and 2nd in Buckdancing. Weston placed 3rd in Banjo.  We played 3 songs for the band competition and out of 5 bands, we placed 3rd.  Not bad for a days work.  On Sunday, after church, we were off to the Williamson County Fair in Franklin.  The HOTTEST Day of the year and we are booked to play from 5 to 6:30 pm OUTSIDE!!!!  We played our hour and a half, and homeward bound we were.  Tuesday night we went to Sue's Pickin' Parlor in Ethridge, TN and picked from 5 to about 9 pm.  We had a great time.  We are on the road again each weekend and hope to see you out and about sometime soon.  Please check out our calendar, it has a lot of new bookings on it.

Tori's Diary,

Hi all!!!  We've been on the road again.  Although this time not so far from home.  We did enjoy camping at Joe Wheeler during the Rogersville Bluegrass Festival.  We picked on the streets of Rogersville on Thursday night and then on Friday at 1pm we kicked the whole festival off.  We had a lot of people who wanted to see us play on Saturday, please feel free to contact the Chamber of Rogersville to request us on Saturday next year.  We enjoyed picking that night at the campground.  We then arrived the next day back at the festival and enjoyed picking and then Kati, Lexi, and I entered the dance competition.  Since we were the only juniors in the contest, we all placed!!  Lexi took 3rd, I took 2nd, and of course Kati took 1st.  (I think Kati would rather dance than eat!!!!!)  Please note all of our upcoming events and try to attend.  We also will be far from home in the next weeks, so if you live near Columbus, Ohio or Peotone, IL, please come by and check us out.  We would love to meet you.  We still have CDs for sale and they have been selling really good.  Everyone seems to really enjoy our latest.  We had a great time in the studio.  We'll I'm in the middle of writing a few new songs and I want to get back to pickin', so I'll see ya out and about soon!

Tori's Diary,

Hey gang!  Hope all out there are doing fine.  We have been so busy it's been hard for me to keep up with everything.  We spent a very hot, long  day at Uncle Dave Macon Days in Murfreesboro, TN on Saturday.  I competed in several events, but they were general categories, with no age breakdown, so I didn't place this time.  I had a great time.  I also got to Jam a little with Adam Clark, of Clark Family Experience.  Kati's friend McKenzie and her family came by to watch for a while and we enjoyed getting to see them again.  Also, our Dad's Cousin and her son, Beverly and JohnDavid, came and stayed almost all day with us.  We sure enjoyed seeing them and meeting a lot of new people.  Mom has added a new page, please look at the bottom of the front page to see a "click here" spot to see new photos from Silver Dollar City.  We are booked this weekend for Rogersville, AL and then we will be off to the MACC Festival in Columbus, OH.

We have a lot of shows and pickin's coming up soon, please check out our calendar and be sure and come and see us soon!

Tori's Diary,

Hello everybody! We enjoyed this past weekend very much.  On Friday night, we had a singing at Cloverdale Community Center in Cloverdale, AL with the "Sounds of Home" Gospel group.  On Saturday, we packed up and went to the 2nd Annual Macon Days Festival in Lafayette, TN.  I entered the guitar, fiddle, mandolin, vocal, and band competitions.  Kati entered the guitar, dance, and of course the band.  In the fiddle category they split it 25 yrs and under and 26 yrs and older, there were 8 in my class and I finished 3rd!! I was the youngest one in the class!!! In mandolin, there were 7, and it was all ages, I finished 3rd and I was the 2nd from youngest!!  In vocal, I tied with another gentleman, and had to do a sing off, I won the sing off and finished 3rd place in vocal, I was the youngest in that class also!!  They needed someone to play fiddle for the dancers, so they asked me to and I was so excited to get to play fiddle for them!!  Kati took 3rd place out of all ages.  We didn't place in the band competitions, but one of the Judges came to us later and said he was very impressed and thought that we should have placed!  That made us feel a lot better, you win some and you lose some!!  We just go and play to have a good time.  Our good friend, Weston, tried his hand in the banjo competition, but didn't place.  Last year, he placed in every competition he was in.  We were all disappointed for him.

We have a lot of shows and pickin's coming up soon, please check out our calendar and be sure and come and see us soon!

Tori's Diary,

Hello everybody! What an exciting time we had in Branson, Missouri!!! We felt so welcomed and well received!!!  All of our audiences seem to enjoy each of our shows and many stayed for each show.  We did 12 shows in the three days that we were at Silver Dollar City.  Each show lasted 30 minutes with 30 minutes in between each show (which is really not a lot of time).  We had seating for about 36-40 people, but each show was covered with many standing and sitting on stairs and in restaurants surrounding our stage at the Medicine Wagon.  At one point we counted as high as 250 people at our shows!!!!  We were even told several times, that we had the best show at Silver Dollar City.  I don't know if that was true or not, but it sure was nice to hear!!  We would like to say a special hello to Mary & Jim Clifford, who did sit thru many of our shows, we enjoyed seeing you both again and hope to see you soon!!  All of the employees at SDC are wonderful!  They all seemed to know that we weren't from Missouri!  We apparently speak "Southern"! ha ha  We were so excited that several of our CDs are going around the USA and even elsewhere, a few went to:  Hawaii, Canada, and Germany!  We are reaching a little farther out than Tennessee and Alabama.  We wish that each of you could have been there with us and hope that someday to get invited back and take a whole bus load of people with us.  We would like to say a special "Thank You" to the people who did travel to Branson to see us, Nanny & PawPaw, Aunt Linda & Ms. Sue, Richard and Sue, Raymond and Lena, Billy and Lorene.  You all will never know what it meant to us that you traveled so far to be a support to us.  We love you!!!  Keep checking out our Calendar, we are adding a lot of new dates, come and see us soon!

Tori's Diary

Hello everybody!   I am going to tell you about going to Tuscaloosa, AL.  It was mostly competition (which is my favorite!) You'll never believe it but, our band took 1st place in the Band Competition out of 5 bands!  We had our friend, Weston Stewart, play with us on the banjo.  I won first place in clogging and Kati took second! (we couldn't believe it!) I took second out of 13 in the 11-15 yr old fiddle division.  I took second out of 4 in the Mandolin division (no age breakdown, anybody, any age)  After all of the competition, of course, we picked for hours!  We then headed back, a three hour drive. We met all kinds of great people and also got to meet up with our great friend, Mr. Humphreys!  So that was about all we did those two days!

Please don't forget to sign our guest book and come and talk to us the next time you come to a pickin'.  See ya around pickin' soon.

Your friend and fiddler,

Tori (the oldest Huntley Sister)

Hello everybody!  Finally I am getting in my entry for SPBGMA.  It was Awesome!!  All of us met some really great people there, especially other family bands!  We all picked as much as possible.  The last day we stayed out until 1:15 am and woke up the next morning around 8 am.  I didn't like that!  We wanted to get in the band contest that they had up there, but we didn't have a banjo player.  But, we had fun anyway.  I hope that you all can try to come to SPBGMA next year and trust me if you love to play music like we do, it won't let you down!  We got to check up with old friends that we met last year and also that we met at IBMA, also held in Nashville.  We also met some great new friends.  I hope to see you all soon!  Please remember to sign our Guest Book!  We love hearing from you.

Your friend and fiddler,

Tori's Diary

I would like to tell you all about what we did on Sunday (1-28-07).  We went to Pigeon Forge, TN and went to Dollywood to audition for playing there at Dollywood this summer during their Bluegrass & BBQ.  We decided that we would go the day before we left, so it was sort of a last minute deal.  We got there and we went into the Showstreet Palace Theatre to do the auditions.  When we got there we filled out an application to tell like would we be able to move if we got the opportunity and of course we said "NO!"  We were the first band to go up and perform!  So, of course, we didn't know what to expect.  We read on the internet that we were expected to play probably around 1 to 2 minutes unless they asked us to do more.  So we got up there and we played the three songs and then they asked us to do more and we were shocked that they did!  So we played those other two songs that they asked us to do, and then when we got finished with those he asked us where we lived and then he asked us about how long we could play shows for.  So, we told him about an hour or two and then he asked if we could do a thirty minute show and of course we said, YES!  He then told us that he thought that the audition went really well, that we did a great job!  We then left and headed home on the five hour drive so Dad could get home to go to sleep to go to work the next day.  So we'll say goodbye for now!  When we get any word from Dollywood, we'll let you know how the audition went!

Bye, Bye,

Tori

What a great singing on Sunday night at Iron City Freewill Baptist Church.  We were truly Blessed by the loving people at this church.  Ms. Donna & Mr. Tim Lamphrect invited us to come and we "Thank Them" for the invitation.  We received a wonderful email from one of the audience:

"I just left my church (Iron City Freewill Baptist) after hearing you all perform. (I was sitting on the second pew with the two-year-old boy that fell asleep).  I immediately had to get on your website to check you all out.  I was so impressed with the talent in this family.  I could have sat and listened to you play all night.  Thanks for coming to Iron City and blessing us so much.  I certainly hope you'll come back and I fully intend to buy your CD's and keep a check on your calendar to see where you are playing close so I can hear you all again.  Keep up the good work for the Lord.  I know that God will continue to bless you.  Thanks again."      L. Purser

Getting this type of letter from our audience lets us know we are doing something right!  We thank each of you for your input to us.  Since we having been getting so much input we have decided to add a "GUEST BOOK" for people to sign.  We hope to have it up and running soon.  Please check back often to see what's going on and to sign our book.

Tori's Diary

We have been very busy so far this month.  We have been in the studio quite a bit trying to get our new Gospel CD completed.  We are finished with the recording and are trying to listen to the demo now for the final mix.  We have had our photos made for the layout of the CD jacket.  We've written our Thank Yous, written our Dedication, now it's time to "Wait".  That's the hardest part!  We are so excited and can't wait for everyone to hear it.  I'll let you all know when it's ready.  We played for the Lawrence County CO-OP Annual Meeting and we had a blast!  We enjoyed a great Christmas Party with the Pickers and Campers at the Pulaski Rec Center and enjoyed a lot of good food and music.  We were also invited to ride in the Lawrenceburg Christmas Parade with our good friends Richard and Sue Grubbs.  We also had a great opportunity to play for the Muscle Shoals Lions Club.  We are very excited about playing for the Live Broadcast on WLX FM 97.5 on December 22 from 7 - 9 am.  This is a great event!  There will be other great artist there, including our cousin, Harley Morris, 11, of Loretto.  She sings and will be performing that morning also.  Tune in to listen to the show, or better yet, if you're in Lawrenceburg, TN on that morning, stop by.  They have breakfast for everyone who attends!

We will be taking the rest of December off to enjoy the holiday with our family and friends.  We will enjoy getting to be with a few of our family members that we only get to see about every 2 years.  We are excited to get to see Uncle Kenny, Aunt Linda, Uncle Evan, Sue, Kim, & Stef. (Just to name a few)

We hope that all of our friends have a wonderful and joyous Christmas and that we all keep in mind that the true meaning of Christmas is Jesus' Birth.

Thank you all for giving us such a wonderful year of pickin' and singin'.  You have all truly Blessed us this year with your support and friendship.

See ya next year,

Tori

We played at the Florence Mall and had a great turn out, there was standing room only.  The crowd clapped and really seem to enjoy our show.  We had a special guest featured at this show with us, Weston Stewart.  He is 16 years old and plays banjo.  We really enjoyed his playing with us.  We especially featured him on Foggy Mountain Breakdown and Foggy Mountain Special, which he did a great job on both.  We hope to get to pick some more with Weston and hopefully do a few more shows together.

We enjoyed a nice day Saturday, November 4 at UNA, Florence, AL, playing and dancing for the Princess Beauty Contest. We then enjoyed a dinner with the Loretto Bridle & Saddle Club.

On Sunday, November 5, we enjoyed a great singing at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Collinwood, TN.  We had a great attendance and were very blessed by the singing.  The wonderful church family made us feel very welcomed.  We hope to get to go back sometime in the future.

Get Ready!! We will be in the studio this week working on our up and coming Gospel CD! We are so excited about this project and hope that you will be Blessed by the outcome.  We are having a blast picking out songs and trying to decide on the title of the CD.  We are always open to suggestions, if you know of a good Gospel song, send us an e-mail--you never know, it might wind up on the final cut!

Hope to see you all out there soon.  We will soon be taking a break until after the new year!  Keep checking back for updates of when our next year events will start!

A Sad Note

Just a little note to all of the Bluegrass Picker's out there.  We lost a very important member of our Bluegrass Family this weekend.  Ms. Gennet Weathers Johnson who played the best rhythm guitar you could find left this world to be with Jesus Saturday.  She will be greatly missed.  It has saddened our hearts and we will always remember her kind smile and words of encouragement.  She was always ready to pick guitar with the girls and to be a special friend to them.  She was always the first person the girls wanted to go and find whenever we would get to a Bluegrass Festival.  We will always remember the many hours we all spent pickin' and grinin' with her and we know that she will be looking down from Heaven and watching as the girls grow.

What a week and weekend!!! We played twice last week for Oktoberfest at Loretto.  On Wednesday we were at First Farmers Bank and then on Friday at Loretto Telephone Co.  We then left from there and went to Athens, AL to the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention held at the Athens State University.  We met our friends, Maria & Chuck, and their son, Weston, there.  Weston did great in the Bluegrass Banjo Contest, he came in 2nd!Congratulations! Weston! We are proud of you! I competed in the Mandolin competition, there were 13 in the contest and I was the only girl and the youngest contestant, everyone said they thought I did great, I know I had a great time pickin!  We were back bright and early on Saturday morning for more contest and pickin'.  I entered the 11-15 yrs old Fiddler's division.  There were 25 in my category.  In the elimination round you played one song.  I made the cut and was ranked in the top 5!  I then had to play in the finals and I competed with a breakdown and a waltz, I placed 3rd!  Not bad for one of the youngest contestants!!! I also made the cut in the Buckdancing division 15 and under category.  I placed 2nd in the finals!  What a wonderful day!

On Sunday we attended McGlamery Church in Collinwood, TN.  We had a great service and the crowd seemed to really enjoy our Gospel Music.  We played a lot of standard Gospel Songs and some new Bluegrass Gospel.  We will be going to another church in Collinwood in November.

We will be at Horse Pens 40 this weekend, if you don't have another festival, please join us.  We will be playing two shows on Saturday!  We'd love to see you there!

We had a blast!  We went down on Friday at about 5:30 and picked until about 9:00.  Got up early on Saturday and went to Hohenwald to the Senior Citizens Day at the City Park and played for about an hour, left there and went straight to Indian Camp Creek and picked until about 10:30!  We played so much that our fingers hurt!  But, we had a blast doing it!  We always look forward to the 3 festivals that Indian Camp Creek has.  We saw lots of our friends and picked with many.  We also missed a few that are usually there that we didn't see.  Hope to see you all pickin' and grinnin' real soon.

WE DID IT!!!  We won 2nd Place in the Shade Tree Band Competition at Summertown Bluegrass Reunion.  What a wonderful 3 days of pickin' and grinin'. Kati also took 2nd in the Buckdancing contest.  We saw lots of good friends and made lots of new friends.  Kati as always danced with Trish and Katie.  I picked all weekend this festival and didn't have time for dancing.  Some of my favorites are Jeff, Kathy, Ms. Gennet & Mr. Lyndon, Terry, Mr. Morgan, Mr. Bates, Stacey (for the 1st time), Weston and so many more I can't name them all.  Mom and Dad picked this time and we enjoyed picking as a family.  I was asked to play on stage Thursday night with several friends and Mom and Dad said I did better than they had ever heard me play.  I guess I did alright.  I love this festival.  It is one of my and Kati's ABSOLUTE FAVORITES!!!!

We attended Millrock Freewill Baptist Church on Sunday night, August 27.  This was the first singing that we were the main group to come and sing.  We enjoyed meeting all of the nice people from Millrock.  We have grown to love Bro. Stacy Holt.  He always tries to make it to Bluegrass Festivals where we attend.  They have a beautiful church and if you get a chance to visit, please do, you will not be disappointed.

They also let 2 little ones sing a song a piece and we so enjoyed them singing.  They were such a blessing to us and to the congregation.

We hope to get to return to Millrock again sometime soon.

What a TRIP!!!!! We first stopped in Louisville, KY at First Quality Music where we had the chance to play for Mr. Bill Sullivan who makes the Sullivan Banjo!!! Then, he asked us to sign the wall! Check out our photo page for the shot! We then traveled on to Columbus, OH for the MACC Festival! You talk about a lineup: The Grascals, Lonesome River Band, Alecia Nugent, Cherryholmes, Larry Cordle, Carl Jackson, Jerry Salley, Bradley Walker, Kenny & Amanda Smith, Aubrey Haynie. This festival is great just to get to meet and greet all of the "BIG" Bluegrass greats! We had our pictures made with so many great pickers! We talked with so many and I even picked for The Grascals and Aubrey Haynie! This was a thrill for me! If you LOVE Bluegrass music like we do, check out this festival next year.

Our great friends, Billy & Lorene Matlock, came all the way from Lawrenceburg just to see us pick with the MACC Children's Band! They must really love us a lot to drive 9 hrs! Lorene's brother, John & wife, Cheryl Ramsey met them at the festival and we met for the first time and got to play for them. We enjoyed meeting them. We were then invited to play a song for the whole MACC Crowd.  I did the ever requested "Muleskinner Blues" and received a great response from the crowd.  We also played with the MACC Children's Band, I played "Wheel Hoss" and Kati sang "Kentucky Borderline".  We also did "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" with the MACC group.  We had a blast at this festival and have already booked our rooms for next year!  We LOVED It.

We went to the West End Fire Hall for their Fun Day.  They are raising money for a new community center.  We enjoy singing and playing for about an hour.  The crowd was Great!  We saw a lot of people we already knew and met a lot of new people.  Ms. Ametra Bailey from up around that area gave us a Dulcimer.  It is one that Rip Ridgeway, an old friend of ours, made.  It is GREAT!! I have already learned to play "Home Sweet Home" on it.  We will be gone next weekend to a festival!  I'll be writing back soon!

This weekend we went to Uncle Dave Macon Days in Murfreesboro, TN.  Mickey Harris with Rhonda Vincent and The Rage grew up there.  We got to talk with Rhonda and Mickey and saw the rest of the group.  We got to see Rhonda receive the Heritage Award and listen to her perform.  We LOVE Her!  We jammed and had a blast.  Our friends from Summertown were there and we jammed with them.  Our Dad's cousin, Beverly and her husband, David, and kids Bethann and JohnDavid came and visited with us and listened as we played and watched as Kati danced.  We drew a big crowd and enjoyed the whole day.

We played at the Liberty Day Festival Events in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee today.  We played on the Square first at about 12:30 for an hour.  Then, at 6:30 we went to the LCHS Football Field and played for over an hour.  We had a great time and enjoyed the show.  It was very hot, about 95 degrees.  The Festival was a salute to Texas so we even sang a Clint Black song about Texas called "I'll Take Texas".

On Sunday, July 2, we went to Bailey Day at Pleasant Point Church of the Nazarene and played for our family.  It is always nice to get to pick for our family, some of which had never heard us play before.  We really enjoyed playing and singing and getting to eat afterwards.

Please keep checking back for updates.  We have a lot of shows coming up.

Tori's Diary

Hi, my name is Tori Faith Huntley, the oldest Huntley Sister.

Summertown Bluegrass Reunion!!!! What a festival!!!!! We picked, played, & danced all weekend long!!! On Thursday night, open mike night, we played with some of our pickin' friends on stage and had a great time! We were back again on Friday at about 3:00 and stayed until after Midnight!  What a BLAST!! We returned at about Noon on Saturday and stayed until after Midnight again on Saturday night! We had a great time. Lexi and I entered the Buck Dancing Competitions for our age divisions! This was my first year in the 11-34 yr old--I won 2nd Place! This is the 1st win for me at Summertown! Lexi won 2nd place in her division, too.  Some of our best friends came from Fairview to visit with us and enjoy the festival. Our friend, Alysa Matheny, won 1st place in the Lil'd Doll Competition!  We are so proud of her! It was great to see her and her twin brother, Seth, and their Mom, Kim. Ms. Kim was our clogging instructor. Kati was unable to compete due to her winning the Lil'd Doll Competition the last two festivals, but watch out in September she'll be back dancin' again!

We competed in the shade tree band competition, but the competition was tough. Fifteen bands competed. We didn't place, but, we had a great time playing and singing for the huge crowd that gathered around as we played. I even sang the song that I wrote, "Lonesome Line".

We hope that you are enjoying our website, write to us and come back and visit our site often for updates on what we are doing.

We went to this festival in South Pittsburg, TN, it was the National Cornbread Festival. I got to play with somebody very special, it was RHONDA VINCENT! For some of ya'll who don't know who Rhonda Vincent is, she is the six time in a row IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Female Vocalist of the Year and is a wonderful Bluegrass Artist. This man at the festival was able to get us backstage to see her. I asked her to sign my mandolin and then I told her that it was one of my biggest dreams to be able to pick with her. So after she signed my mandolin, we got to play "Rawhide" together. But, something happened right before we started playing, the video camera shut off but we didn't know it. So afterward I felt really bad so Dad, the one who was taping at the time, felt bad too. Dad stayed backstage while me, Momma, and Kati went back to sit down to watch the concert. When Rhonda played a song that was in C, she said that she met a little girl backstage, her name was Tori and that she was amazed. So, she asked me to come up and play "Rawhide" with her. I played with her and I started to walk down when she said, "Tori, I would like to speak to your parents afterwards, because I would like for you to come to the Ernest Tubb Record Shop to play at the Midnite Jamboree on May 27 (which is a live broadcast on WSM Radio).

On Friday, May 12, we went to The Emporium to play in Hohenwald, TN.

On Saturday, May 13, we went to Lester, AL for Sam McCracken Days. There, I competed in the Beginner Fiddler (age 15 and under), Mandolin and Guitar. I won First Place and a blue ribbon in the Beginner Fiddler.
